i wa laying under my truck the other day (like ya do) and i noticed the rubber block bolted to the side of the transfer case. what is it? doesnt look like its attacked to anything but the trasfer case and its just hanging there?

If you look closely at the crossmember that suppports the t-case, you will notice that the black rubber thing is bolted to the crossmember. I put a new one on about two months ago.

Rich is correct, it is a vibration counter-weight found on 95-97 models only.

I presume this is because the far superior 93 does not need such an adaptation.

With its battle tested tranny. :D
