Update from Terry -->

Hi Everyone – Our next work day is Saturday May 20th. We’ll be installing guardrail, cutting back brush and installing signs that weekend so if you have a truck or vehicle that can haul posts and rails please bring it that day. We’ll meet at 9 am at the Uwharrie Hunt Camp.

Please wear boots, have work gloves, eye protection and other appropriate work clothes to keep yourselves protected. If you are chainsaw certified please bring your saws & other PPE in case we need to cut some trees too. Please bring water & lunch for yourselves.

We appreciate all of your help. See you in a couple of weeks. Thanks a lot. Bye - Terry

Don't forget the bugs will be coming out soon. Seed ticks are the worst!

The Lowry family will be there and we have a campsite reserved Friday and Saturday.

Hi Everyone – I just wanted to send out a reminder that we’ll be meeting at the Uwharrie Hunt Camp at 9 am this Saturday, May 20th for the work day. We’ll be installing guardrail on Falls Dam Trail, cutting back brush to improve sight distance on the trail & putting up orange diamonds with the trail #s on them. And as always, picking up trash.

I’m going over to the FOU barn tomorrow to pick up the draggers so we can drag the guardrails from Flatwoods TH up the trail or from Falls Dam TH down to the camping area. If anyone has a vehicle or trailer that can haul the guardrail or posts please bring them. We’ll actually be putting the guardrail up at the dispersed campsites near Falls Dam & Art Lilley THs so if we do have a trailer there that can haul 25 ft & 12.5 ft guardrails on the Forest Roads we can move the guardrails that way over to Falls Dam TH & drag them from there that’s a lot less of a hassle. We need to establish the boundary of how far back people can camp off the trail up there.

Thanks a lot everyone. See you on Saturday. Bye - Terry
