This morning was so cold here ( don't smile .. :D ) around 18ºC so when I start my 2H reading at idle around 70psi ( in my mechanical VDO gauge ) so 550 rpm to 600 rpm ..

I acelerate to 1000 rpm .. and the oil press come to 80 or 82 PSI ... I'm not worried about that at any time .. but today reading other threat was thinking if this is normal or safe ..

to much oil press . ? I'm using 20W-50 Castrol super duper .. hahahaha

Well maybe you can write here your experiences with oil press ..

Sounds high for a motor that has klms or did you rebuild?
My new 1HZ was getting 75 psi at 2500 when it was 2 hours old

oil pressure for the 2H should be 36 - 85 psi at 3,000 rpm =2.5 to 6kg/cm2
at idle .3kg/cm2 [4.3psi, 29kpa].
If the oil pressure gets too high most common problem is usually the pressure relief valve in the oil pump.

At -20C, a have ±75PSI when I start the 3B... and it go down after it get hot

my 3b has 270 000km's on it and I see 70 or 75 quite often if it is cold, i've never seen it under 25 even on the hottest day

Well .. my 2H have 50k km from rebuild .. and runs great, so when the engine reach normal operative temp I have 60 - 68 PSI at 2000 rpm

The 13BT starts up at about 70~80psi idle, idles at 28~30psi at operating temp, and cruises at 70psi. 191,000 Km using mobil 15W50 synthetic with some Lucas stabilizer. I have been told that to blow an oil seal, or do any real damage it has more to do with over-capacity of oil than overpressure, I could be wrong.

Is it just me, or did I see a HJ60 like that on the cover of some four wheeler magazine or other, white, snorkel, huge lift? It had a sticker saying "Panama Cruisers", or something like that. Coincidence, or was that your rig? I'll try to remember where I saw it and post the picture.
