Max lift after re-indexing factory torsion bars. (1 Viewer)

Searched the thousand torsion bar threads the last couple days but couldn't find anyone that posted actually center-to-fender max lift with the factory bars.

I'm trying to achieve ~21'' but I'm stuck at 20'' after reindex. Might take it all apart again and redo.

My back end is at 19 1/4
Front end is at 18 1/2

I re-indexed them and that’s where I’m stuck after driving it and letting it settle....

When you are having trouble getting lift when re-indexing your bars usually means your stock bars are getting pretty worn out. At that point I’d suggest upgrading or replacing.

I think what happened is I pushed the bracket up where he adjuster bolt is like it says to do in the “ultimate torsion bar thread” and pulled the front of the bar out of the housing but when I went to rotate the bar before sticking it back into the housing I moved the bar inward toward center of vehicle vs the picture that shows he rotated his bar outward toward out side of the vehicle. My passenger side still has more left to adjust higher so I am thinking that’s where I messed up on the driver side.
