This is a GRJ76 I drove at Masterpiece, a 4x4 shop in Kobe Japan. 4" lift on Tough Dogs with their own springs and leafs, 285s on KM2s, really nice Bride seats, and a whole host of other mods. I liked it overall but didn't like the winch bumper, which is a Japan-made unit (I can look up the name, not made by Masterpiece) because I think the winch location is too high- it should be closer to in-line with the frame. Other than that it rode really smoothly, maybe even better than my OME 2", which is not especially a comfortable ride. Yep. I went to look at the winch bumper and decided the same thing- it's too high.

We can get TJM and ARB bumpers in Japan but I dont want that. I am looking at this model.

i'd love to be able to read japanese and decipher that page, but I can't, and that design looks like it could have been modified from one designed for the earlier nose shape, as you can see the 'nappy' line of where the body work used to run. That would actually the type of bar i've been unsuccessfully looking for to suit my old nose 78... could you do me a favor and see if that bar is indeed available for the old nose type?, and that it does indeed follow the body line as opposed to being a flat bar that either leaves a gap below the fenders or cuts in front of the bodywork below the grill. i had resigned to make a custom bar, but if i can buy one just like that i would be very happy. if its too hard don't worry about it
