It's been a rough 24 hours. I won't go into too much detail, but this morning I lost my best buddy, my co-pilot, my trail companion, Marley. I took him in for emergency surgery yesterday for stomach bloat with torsion. He was recovering, but went into cardiac arrest this morning and passed away.
Many of you knew him from past trail rides, though he hasn't been with me on rides for a while due to his hips bothering him quite a bit and my fear that he'd hurt himself worse. Of course, now all I can think of is how much I wish I could take him on just one more ride. Those of you who did know him know that he was about all you can ask for when it comes to a companion. He LOVED riding in the 4Runner and when camping, every night when I went to turn in he was always curled up at the door to the tent.
I'm going to miss him from now until the day we meet again. Do me a favor. If your dog loves riding with you in the truck, take 'em for a ride today, or whenever you can.

Sorry to hear about Marley.
