Just an update. I blew out the air cylinder from the gear case.. Threads flattened out both in the gear case and on the air cylinder part itself. Air cylinder would just not tighten. So I ordered a new air cylinder from Marks and I think I located a M25x1.5 tap to chase the threads in the housing. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

Is that just for 1FZ drive-trains? Do the 91-92 models with a 3FE have any potential for a 60 series t-case swap? I have been reading some of the a343 to a340 tailhousing threads and I am trying to do more research on this, but I am still learning about what is what as far as the drive trains and what is behind my 3FE.

I know it's old thread but looks like the transfe extension from fj62 will bolt p as the gasket part umbers are the same for fj62 and 3fe a440f transmission until 08/1992.

Not sure about output shaft splines etc...
