Here is my story: I have been LURKING on this forum for almost 2 years. I found Mud about a week after I bought my 2nd FJ40. I sold my first 13 years ago after my wife almost fell out. She was pregnant and the Cruiser didn't fit in to our family plan. (She also said she would never ride in a FJ40 again! She lied!! he he) Well fast forward to today and she loves our new Cruiser. I will post pics of what I have done and also keep updating the future plans!! Here are some before and after pics:

Nice truck, Looks like the same base cage that is in my truck. I am doing the same thing, front cage was there but I plan to re do it. I just added a back family style cage to it last week.

Thanks guys! I have had this rig back on the road for a couple of months now, I am very happy with it. Seems that I have almost forgotten how much of a pain in the A$$ this thing has been! Anyways I will continue to post more pics. I apologize for any repeated pics. It is a pain to try and see what I have posted on my paint thread!

After spending HOURS on mud, looking through all of the other cruiser build ups, I came to a conclusion... First I wanted a clean rust free FJ40 that looked good. Second I can't afford to do what I want!:bang: So it was time to find a happy medium. I really love the look of a sandblasted and POR 15 painted frame. That is not in my current budget so I did the best I could with what I have. I wire wheeled the HELL out of my frame and used good ol RUSTOLEUM! I am really happy with the results as touch ups are EASY and cheap!
