Hey fam, I decided to re-foam all five speakers a couple months ago, but the front passenger door speaker just still sounded horrible, so I assumed I just missed a spot with the glue or something.

Well, I pulled it back out again yesterday and pulled off the new foam and did it again, and I am positive I got adherence all the way around, but it still sounds horrible.. I'm not sure what else to do besides buy a new one, but I wondered if anybody had other ideas of simple things I might have overlooked. Are there other issues besides the foam that may be happening (and that I can visually inspect without removing the foam a third time?)

I'm no audio guy, so forgive me if this is a dumb question but since 5 of the six are working I don't know about mixing speaker types and I really don't wanna drop $200+ on a single OEM front mid-range.

Cheers and thanks for any advice y'all can offer 🙌

While I know it will be a PITA, can you try swapping the left/right speakers and see if the problem follows the speaker or the amp position?
You might have a bad amp output for that line.

I dont know if your issue is a ML thing, but I refoamed the sub on my 06 LC and it lasted maybe 30 days and came apart again....tossed it in the garbage and replaced the speaker

Search in your area for a speaker repair shop. Took one door speaker to have looked and possibly repaired.
Advantage is you do not have to modify mounting bracket and plug.
Challenge is our 2001 LX47o has 2 ohm system.
Repair shop was able to recone and insulate existing speaker with, a ohm reducer to 2ohm.
Fixed our challenge for $80.00 and free time R&R door panel.
