Marine Cover Shops?

Any one know of any shops that might do marine covers? I am going to rebuild the Roof Top Tent that got mangled in our roll-over last year, and I need to replace the travel cover for it. I haven't had any luck contacting the manufacturer or distributor about a replacement cover, so I guess I will have to find someone to make one for me. So, since it has to be weather/water proof, I figured a marine shop specializing in covers and upholstery might be my best bet?

What brand/model tent?
I think Ezee-Awn sells replacement covers. Maybe theirs would fit?

I haven't used them, but I drive by them everyday to work.


Otherwise I will check and see who we currently use for our boats.

Serengeti (large - 63" x 94" IIRC) by MyWay Tents (South Africa / Britain). I bought it from Fernando at Camping Lab. I will check out the Eezi Awn replacement covers, I know they make a very good product.

When I had some upholstery work to get done while stationed here in '07, there was a shop in Kearney Mesa close to the Japanese markets and ORW. I think it was off of Engineer Road, but I'm not positive if it's even still open. I seem to remember the guy being pretty nice and fair priced.

Good luck, and let us know what you find. I may have a large cover job, myself, in the not so distant future.

look for a sail shop, I found one off of palomar mtn road awhile back that patched up my tent trailer canvas and did a great job, not too much $$ either, I took off the canvas and took it to them. Can't remember the name of the place.

Try Hoffman Foam in City Heights. They did my sunbrella boat cover, now 6 yrs old and still solid. Sunbrella may be a good material for your use.

I found out we use Canvas Services on Shelter Island for all our boat covers.
