Hopefully, the USFS in CO will get the road repaired and reopened. In CA, this would be a permanent closure, as would the bridge closure, that makes the stream crossing the way to cross.

Many roads in CA are now closed after a slide or other damage under the guise of "Budget" priorities. The funds are never available and the road never reopens. Sad, but common...

Bummer about the road from Marble to CB, we have been on the road many back in the 70's.
 
It used to be that way here in Washington, but the State transfered most of their land to the Department of Natural Resources - which is really a good thing since they're the ones who sell timber and mineral rights. There are a couple roads that were closed because of floods that happened in 1996 that are in the process of being re-opened because DNR owns them - if they were State Parks property, then not even hikers can use them without a permit that is gotten by being put on a waiting list.
