Just got my shipment from Cruiser Dan yesterday . . . so now I have to figure out when to do it...

-All new Tie Rod Ends and hardware
-Engine Undershield and hardware (my truck lost its somewhere during its life)
-Brake Fluid Reservoir cap
-Driver's Door Seal gasket
-New windshield wipers!
-Throttle Body gasket (plan to remove and clean the throttle body)

Upcoming major projects? Exhaust--might be time to bite the bullet and replace the downpipe.

Driveline vibes--gonna pull the front shaft again and see what's up. Vibes coming back even with new U-joints.

Windshield replacement and rust rehab--the windshield was replaced at some point and done shoddily and now I have rust bubbles along the top edge.

Brake system--replace LSPV, add extended brake lines and speed bleeders (since I'll have the system open to do the LSPV anyway....)

And of course there's more . . . cripes, it never ends.

But, man, I love new parts!

So glad you were able to secure your new Brake Fluid Reservoir cap........ if you need help installing it, LMK LOL! Your previous comments about it were noted : )

Good to see some TLC going into your TLC : )

I was working on the list of maintenance and mods done to this thing in the past year and i started to scare myself. and i'm not done. wow.

Just wait, till you're done you could have bought a new cruiser.:p

Chris,
maybe you retro-fit his door seal to work on the passenger side :lol::lol:

Brett,

I was reading in your other thread about cursing loudly and remembering the day you broke your LSPV. I was wondering if you had ever ordered a new one :)

Good call on the TB cleaning... I can't believe what a difference that made in the performance of my truck. I ended up taking off/cleaning the entire intake, etc. Passages were 3/4 of the way blocked with carbon and soot. You will need about 4 ft. worth of extensions if you go up from underneath.

You will love the wipers... Toyota makes the best.

Have fun wrenching.

Yeah, tell me about it....more good news--I expect to drop a pretty penny into our VW Passat next week. Typical . . . just paid it off and everything breaks. :frown:

Nope--haven't replaced it yet--if you check out Beno's Rust Belt Rebuild thread in the 80's section, I'm actually considering a different tack now--removing the LSPV completely and replacing it with a valve I can put in the engine compartment. Need to check prices, though, as that will also require replacing some brake lines.

Man, I really need a garage.
