My local guy had everything in stock. He had to blow some dust off a the FCM2244's. He is an old school hotrodder from the 60's or 70's that still keeps his doors open.

He also make all of my brake lines and speedometer cables for me while I wait. The last time I took my entire vehicle in and he mesured and made the brake lines. Was the same price as if I just walked in with the measurements.

I feel It's my duty to keep the old school locals in business. :D


Sometimes just being done with it and moving on to something more interesting or important has a high value.

OK, that was not the smartest thing I have done

2 - Aeroquip # FBM2244 $9.38 ea
2 - Earl's # 70969 - $21.80 ea
2 - Copper washers - $0.75 ea
1 - 36" #8 Blue Hose $3.73 per foot = $ 11.19

$ 75.05 plus tax.

thats why i went with the kit...if you do what you did its more...i priced cheap crap to make it work....in the end i wanted what was designed to work....sounds like your guy is cool....big fan of keeping it local if its possible
