Malicious Code on Forum Link?

I sent a link to the following thread to a freind and their PC had an issue with Malicious Code. I checked it by clicking the link in the e-mail message I sent and got the following Symantec Small Business Endpoint Error

"Web Attack: Malicious Toolkit Website 9 attack blocked. Traffic has been blocked for this application: \DEVICE\HARDDISKVOLUME3\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEXPLORE.EXE "

Is this a known issue or is there something burried in a post on the thread or is Symantec nuts?

no clue...with dozens of virus softwares and constant updates and reports, it's impossible to know what they think they are catching...

I've been getting similar popups in chrome for a week or two on and off. It looks like one of the add servers?

Blocked netseer.com in AdX...let me know if it appears again, it may be used under multiple networks

I have been getting the Chrome pop up all day too.

a HUGE thanks to one of our smarter-than-members for chasing down the issue

the address was cm.netseer.com

Ends up netseer was hacked this morning and was distributing malware, whcih google detected and shut down. Netseer apparently has cleaned up their servers and google is in the process of removing the warning.

You should not have to do anything, but hopefully this helps in case you get people asking.
