Does anyone know the maker of this aftermarket bumper. I know its on a Tacoma but I would love to put something like this on my LX570

Southern Style Offroad or SSO Slimline Hybrid Bumper

Funny enough I've been thinking the same thing. The bumper of the 08-12 LX570s are prime for a hybrid lightweight bumper like this. I've toyed with the idea of homebrewing one using @TRAIL TAILOR hidden winch mount as a core. Excuse my doodling.

Looks great......but aren’t two major reasons for getting aftermarket bumpers are to improve clearances (esp on the two sides) and avoid damage from hitting a ledge?

The above design achieved neither. The sides of LX are still factory plastics and the lowest points.

Looks amazing but not particularly functional?

Its essentially a glorified winch cradle. How trail tailor offers the hidden winch mount for 200s. Think of it as a similar design but for 4runner and taco guys. This way they can mount a winch and keep the factory look. Yes for proper off roading or animal strike there isn't much of an added benefit.

Fortunately, the 08-12 LX's has reasonably good front bumper clearances. Especially considering the lift on demand, and then again with tire and sensor lifts.

Functionality wise, these hybrid bumpers are focused more in supporting recovery rather than humping rocks. They do provide additional protection to critical front end components including the radiator and condenser. There's no particularly critical components at the sides, save cosmetics. Commonly, these hybrid bumpers have a tow point (which I failed to doodle). As recovery gear, it's a winch carrier, tow point, and better configuration for snatching.

To your point, I did doodle it for more clearance, and cut the bumper while adding a higher profile tube wing.

Yeah, TT hidden winch is great because you get 95% OEM look. The proposed bumper above makes the front look worst (IMO), add unnecessary weight due to surrounding metal, which may interfere in a frontal crash...yet provides no further off-road protection (other than recovery point, which OEM tow hooks are perfectly fine to begin with).

Since LX owners have AHC lift, then why not do the whole bumper and gain all the benefits?

Like this? More hybrid plate bumper style.

I just took a look at the Hidden winch mount for the 570...it looks really well built. I have had my 570 for 5 years. I love the look of the front end. My primary goal is to install a winch and lower light bar while giving me some additional recovery points. As for full bumpers I love this design. I wish it was something I had the experience and skill that I could order and install on my own.

Nice.......but how is that any different than what jneubeck posted? Yeah, you save the tubberware and make it somewhat OEM look with the hybrid but has less clearance than jneubeck’s pic. IF all you want is recovery point, then OEM tow hooks are fine. If you want a winch also, then get hidden winch. BUT if you need it for off-road, then go big.

With AHC and the whole AHC leveling thing...if i am going this route because i NEED it off-road, then i go big...to something that gets the job done, not half-a$$ed and then later regret it. Now, if you just want something that looks pretty and don't off-road, then yeah, hybrid is great.

Just my 1 cent.

Easy there tiger. Instead of mad declarations, how about we actually have a dialogue here.

You're not wrong and I love the dissent stuff... surely I've considered going that direction. It's personal considerations and details matter. While I enjoy looking at full armored builds, I personally don't like the overt flash and attention it would bring. Going big is not for me as I'd rather balance, preferring a more OEM style, if any bumpers at all. I also have the tools and enjoy fabricating. It's just a thought exercise anyways at the moment.

That wouldn't be a bad idea there.. If you're able to tie it in properly, you'd actually get the protection from rock rash and all while still keeping a factory look. Could be the right amount of compromise and still keep the bumper safe when wheeling.
