M416 Trailer

1967 M416 trailer, registered in AZ clean unbonded title.

this trailer cam from the military, thru DRMO to a fire agency in New Mexico, back to DRMO, thru a middle man to me.

it has Coker reproduction tires, with tubes. the electics are 12 volt. i have the original military plug, but the rest of the harness was garbage. i also saved the electric panel cover, and the data plate. I will also include the draw bar half of the pintle set.

the brake is 100% functional, this model does not have the troublesome inertia brake, just the parking set.

I blasted it to raw amazingly rust free nudity, primed it, and painted it with 1999 jeep TJ brown paint. the inside was coated with a purposefully thin bed liner, to minimize future heartburn should it be desired to restore it to mil-spec. I did not attempt to make the panels perfectly flat, and the paint has a few fisheyes and runs.

asking price is 1750

I know someone will have the instinct to say "you can get those for 100 dollars from XXXXX". if you can, please do. if you want a solid, clean, complete working 416, make me an offer, im not spending the rest of the day researching prices, i will consider a reasonable offer. the trailer is 70 miles southeast of tucson AZ. i just bought 3 firestones (7.50 NDT). set me back 425 bucks total (tubes, flaps, tax, shipping)

im not supporting 1750, but keep in mind most 350 dollar rigs need something. the truth is in the middle, and the guy is open to offers.

350 + tires + led lights, paint, sandblast

youre at a grand.

+ some time.

i dont see a price dispute here. guys want 1200 for the canadians in mil spec paint.

DOn't worry.. you are doing the right thing... you are a "newbie" here and folks have grown to be suspect of "For Sale"s from people that appear to have just joined up to sell stuff. Anyway... while your price might be high it's not unrealistic that you would find a buyer... and given the fact that you stated you are open to offers you are ok.

As someone else said... trailer plus blasting, plus painting, plus Coker tires, plus wiring, plus already civilian registered etc... all of it adds up.

This is supposed to be an informative and helpful environment, no? Everyones a pro and a critic and that causes a lot of problems. Think before you speak and respect others. These forums are all about being popular! It's like high school. If one of the big dogs who has been around for years had posted a trailer that may be priced on the high end of things nobody would have said more than "nice trailer, wish i had the cash" or some ass kissing statement like that.

Sure the price may be a little high, but don't we all wany top money for our crap when we sell it! Then want to pay less than it's worth when we buy it. I can't find one of these in any condition around here, so it's worth what he can sell it for.

I've never seen one for under 700 buck to be honest. But i have seen some pretty nice ones for 1200-2000 that are all dialed in. It's not like there is a blue book for these.

You are trying to sell something here. Be nice. Apparently you already know that people are going to post things like "I can get that for XXX". So be it. There is no need to be rude though. You also come across as an arrogant jerk in the last sentence I quoted.

You are likely not an arrogant jerk; however you should know that there are a lot of suspect postings in this section and many (myself included) have grown weary of it, and jaded against folks that have wordings such as yours. I have been ripped off on a few occasions here on mud and have had run ins with other folks that come across the way you have.

BTW, nice trailer. Its in fantastic condition. I have always wanted one, but the combination of the price and cost for shipping is a deal killer for me. I wish you the best in your sale.

But seriously dude, don't waiver from your price. If you're not in a hurry to sell it and you don't need the money RIGHT NOW, hold on to it. Someone will totally give you 14 to 16 hundred for it. It will be worth that much to SOMEONE.

One more question: Do you drive a Wrangler by any chance? I have a feeling you painted the trailer to match your truck. Actually, don't answer that question; if you do answer it truthfully, the chances of you getting a sale on here will go to about 2%

yes, it was color matched to a 99 tj with 35's, dana 44's and an atlas II.

and after i wrecked the jeep, i got an FJ cruiser, ive always been a toyota fan, which is why i have lurked this forum for several years.

I'd be interested in the $750 range, hate the color but since it has the paint flaws and all listed it looks like its gonns need a repaint anyway. My last one I got for the same price in better shape (straighter panels) and mil paint, but the LED's are a plus as I'm not looking for a resto trailer.
