Well, here it is ...6 months later! The before and after pics. Final color is a putty color or "Adobe" as the powder coater calles it. Ironically, it matches my 40th anniversary leather interior perfectly...it's the funniest thing how that worked out.. This was totally unintended..but what the heck. I use pelican cases as saddle bags...this should keep rattles down.

I intend to have 2 propane burners....both near the tail gate...to use for cooking on the stove sits on the tail gate...This provides quick and easy access to fuel. Instead of Rhino lining the bed...for $500.00..I chose to get a 1/4" rubber bedliner. This was $44.00 bucks. Thanks to Jacque of
www.trdparts4ucom..great idea!

A few more

I used LED lights and they are absolutely awesome. Very bright and really updates the 50 year old trailer. Again, I utilized the waterproof capability of the pelican case....and of course I had to match my wheels ;))

Final pic

That's basically it...This shows the THULE rack raised up for tent set up at a campsite....the whole build was about $3,000...All I am waiting for is the Mombasa family size tent. Thanks for looking.

WOW, berrrrry nice. I love the OD flag! Nice idea on the mat also.

So, what lives in the Pelican cases? R u gonna fab some kinda weather resistant top to keep greedy lil eyes off the goodies inside the trailer, or will the RTT serve that function?

MMM, me like. Great job!!

Sweet! Looks good, I like the can mounts! If you don't mind me asking, where did the propane bottle mounts come from? I've been looking to secure a round cooler and this might work....

X2 on the mounts and the color. Very nice job. looks very nice. Did you put the mounts upside down to protect the valves or is that the way they are meant to be?

Well I plan to lock up the cases...they are very hard to get into once locked up. I'll probably just throw in camping crap..i.e. utensils and a stove and lamp....they should fit in the pelicans nicely.

No the bracket is from a Fire extinguisher which I fabbed up. Both ends of the bracket have a valve protector...the other end is simply hidden under the rubber mat.

Well, there is a Fire Extinguisher place here in Dallas....I simply fabbed them up to fit.

NOT a damn thang the matter' with that!!:clap::clap: It looks great..awesome fab! I'm totally diggin' the skyrise tent..that was a great idea!! Please don't forget to include some "action shots" once you get in the field.

Good luck and happy trails

Pat

That is one purdy trailer you got there.... very nice indeed....

I too like the propane brackets.
How big are those tanks...?

Nice.

I like how you beveled the bottom of the tailgate to provide support for the sides, without having to use outside supports like the civilian trailers.

Clever use of Pelican cases.

Did you extend the lunette? Hard to make it out in the pic.

You may find the tailgate to be on the low side for cooking on. It hurts my back to bend over like that for sustained periods.
