Working on a not very secret project to adapt a ZF S5-42 transmission to a 13B-T. I was looking for some socket cap screws to hold the flywheel adapter to the 13B-T Crank (1988 edition)

But... low and behold... the crank bolt appears to be an M13 x 1.5.

In the pics below, the crank bolt is on the left, an aftermarket M12x1.5 in the middle, and a Toyota M12 x 1.25 bellhousing bolt on the right.

The crank bolt measures:
12.81mm at the threads.
12.89 jest below the flange.
12 point head with flange.

Aftermarket M12x1.5
11.91mm at the threads
19mm hex head

Toyota M12x1.25 bolt
11.85mm at the threads
17mm hex head

ToyoDIY calls this bolt..
90105-13004 *13-1.5PX30-20
I interpret"*13-1.5" to mean 13mm bolt, with 1.5 pitch, 30mm long, 20mm 12 point head.

So... guess what is not possible to buy. M13x1.5 socket head cap screws. It looks like one can purchase an M13x1.5 die.. I suppose I cold make my own out of a long 1/2 cap screws... chop off the SAE thread and put my own threads on the remaining unthreaded section of the bolt... any other ideas?

Cutting threads on a customised bolt will be weaker than a rolled thread. Especially if you lose 0.3mm diameter before you start. What length bolts do you need?

Could you Time-sert the crankshaft to accept M12 bolts?
