sorry for bringing this up, is your front door not shut all the way or do you have a unibody problem, look at first pic. also that is a sweet trailer, and i love the od green on both.so i have been overwhellmed by the intrest and requests for more information on my lid . i really didnt think it was all that special and i thank you guys for all the kind words and praise.. i have been receiving at least one email per week asking for specs.. sooo... what if i were to build a dozen of these things .. would there be enough intrest to make it worth my while and what do you think a fair price for these would be ..how much would you the trailer guys be willing to pay for somthing like this.. i dont know much about the logistics and shipping and stuff .. it seems to me most of you guys are spread all over north america and shipping on these would not be cheap.. i dont see any reason why i could not make the lids for the 416's too.. it wouldnt take much to change things a little bit for those so for now im just gonna put the question out to the comunity here and see where it goes..
as far as mounting hardware and stuff that could be left up to the individual buyer cuz some want em hinged on the end or the side or whatever

Thanks Swampman. Now, I can't decide which way to hinge the lid. Any suggestions? I like the idea of getting into it from both sides with a front hinge, but the struts seem to be in the way.
Swampman,
Great job on the lid. I too have a M101CDN and love it. I'd appreciate a copy of your plans and good luck with solar.
Thanks,
Paul old.ski.bum@cox.net
Love the lid! I am starting mine next week and would love to compare your plans to what I have so far.
Send to: stevekrobertson@msn.com
Thanks,
Steve
400 bucks !!! is that in american funds? i paid 235 bucks taxes in.. steel was cut and bent to shape as i ordered it..
Yep - SoCal rates and all. That's for a flat lid installed with supplied hinge, struts and latches. You installed yours yourself didn't you?
Mind sending your plans to brentbba@cox.net? May as well get a quote on it to see if it's much more expensive.
Unfortunately, your fabricator is just a little far from where I am!
sent pm .. yes i installed it, with a little help from my buddy.. randy was more of a teacher , just lettin me go and i pretended i knew what i was doing...
Ok - makes a little more sense. My quote included labor to install the hinge, struts and latches.
email rec'd but no attachment??
