Paul,

I had to remove one of the small leafs to get my u-bolts to fit and that seemed to not only drop the height but make it ride smoother (I still don't even have shocks and don't really need them.) Do you have any close-ups of your tailgate setup?

I recently bought a 1/4 ton M101 from ACME truck parts in Stockton CA. Out the door w/ TTL it was just under $1,200. It was in great shape with a little storage rust on the springs and axle. I figured for $1200 bucks I couldn't have built a base unit for any less. My plan was to basically do a Henry C knock-off (sorry Henry:eek: ) with a roof-top tent and running water. Here's what I wound up spending just to give you an idea of how fast this crap adds up:

Purchase price $1,197.00
New hardware $22.00
Paint & supplies $40.00
Hub conversion $102.00
Shocks $46.00
Wheels $114.00
35 MTR's $413.00
Custom Lid $1,200.00
Hannibal tent $800.00
Water Tank & parts $321.00
Battery $43.00
Wood & misc supplies $107.00

TOTAL $4,405.00

So besides the tent, it has a 28 gallon H20 tank w/ a surefolw 6gpm pump that runs off a 12v battery. It totaly rocks to have running water on your unit. I still have a few little things left to do so when all is said and done I'll likely be into it for $5k. Food for thought....if I did it all over again I might have just bought a Tentrax.

Bigot,

Nice setup. But I want a tent that has stand up room. For changing clothes etc. It would also be nice to have a Queen size mattress. I am working on a plan now.

I will send some in the morning.

Guys,

Well I bought a 101 from Koffer. Nice guy to deal with. Now to get her ready for the first camping trip. Will post pics as I progress on the project.

Desert D,

Thanks, yes I will post pictures. That pretty little trailer will be traveling several thousand miles this coming weekend. We are going to the Outer Banks. Will send pics when we return. We will not have our final set-up tent wise, but we have big plans for our 101. I just got everything put back together with tires aired up and took her out for her first test drive today. You could not even feel her behind the 80. What a great little trailer.
