There are no 2016 LX570s without rear entertainment in the southeast. I'm not going custom order and wait x months if there are trucks in the west properly equipped without this waste. One dealer in the greater Atlanta area told me he couldn't / wouldn't help me. Anyone have suggestions?

I want the LX570 because I don't want the rear entertainment system that is standard on the LC. I would get a used/pre owned LC, but I want the 2016 headlights. So, that means I need to find a new Lx570 equipped without rear entertainment, or find a used one 2013+ (the model year with the current headlights, or at least I think so) without them.

My local dealer has 3 Lx with no rear entertainment

i gave up and pulled the trigger on a 2016 lc200 despite not wanting the stupid displays that are strapped to the seats.

my kids like to watch dvd's, but i now worry about their heads hitting the displays if we were to get into an accident.

You're assume only one direction for an accident..head-on...

I'd worry more about the passenger window or pillar more so than the front row seats. A side directional impact worries me a lot more than a front collision. I believe the seatbelts work as advertised for front/back movement but, they're not really built for side-to-side...

Congrats, post a picture.

When I grew up there were no set belts or air conditioning so we rolled down the window and stuck our heads out. But my parents were WWII parents not like today's hellocopter parents. I think they should be pretty safe in the back seat strapped in a 6000#+ $80k modern SUV. But if you get hit at 70mph by a Semi your F'd.

What I find is so bizarre is how clueless the marketing people are at Toyota/Lexus. If you are going to make those huge screens standard on something, it should be the LX, not the LC. (Actually, those things should only come standard on a Gulfstream, not an automobile of any kind.) The fact that they make them standard on the LC just proves that they don't understand the market for the LC. I would love to ask the people that make these decisions, why?? It makes absolutely no sense.

Maybe you can find some seats out of an earlier LC or an LX and swap them? Sell yours on ebay?
