Hi All,

I have a LX570 2009 model. Got Check engine light, slip sign, and 4lo blinking. Managed to pull the below codes from scanner.

P0419: Secondary Air injection system relay "B" circuit
p2447: Secondary Air injection system pump stuck closed bank 2

The car runs absolutely fine at all speeds. cleared the codes and it only comes back at a cold start if the car is parked for more than 15 hours or so.

I bought the car recently and i could hear a air suck kind of noise for a minute at only cold starts for the past 2 months until i got the check engine light.

should i just replace the secondary air pump and the issue would be resolved?

You shouldn't replace anything until you troubleshoot it. You can jump 12v and ground to each of the fan connectors to verify the function of both of the sais pumps (under the US passnger fender). They should sound like a hoover vacuum cleaner. You could have one failed one, so testing them separately is important.

It could also be caused by a damaged driver module (on a bracket between the master cylinder and the main fuse box). I believe this is what your code is referring to as a relay.

Side note: the Tundra uses the same drivers (relays), and they pop up on ebay for decent prices.

If the parts prices scare you, Hewitt Tech offers a gen 2 module that works well for bypassing this whole system.

Here's the thread I had for the P0419 code: Secondary Air Injection Code - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/secondary-air-injection-code.1219408/post-13246194

Mine was caused by a worn through wire where the Slee compressor mount rubbed. I used the Hewitt kit, and eventually replaced the modules with salvage ones from eBay.

PS. If you didn't catch this in the linked thread - there are two pumps and two drivers. I didn't realize that until I started troubleshooting.
