All,

I have a customer wanting to bring his 2017 LX570 up for a custom front. He is wanting me to try and replicate the Tonka Hilux bumper. I see quite a few similar lines that could take place. I know the grill will need surgery to accomplish this design, so I'd say 80% of the 570 demographic will be turned off by this bumper.

Not sure if this would be a candidate for a production bumper but wondering if any Gen II -570 owners here would be interested.

Just to note the 200 Gen II front will have some of this bumper incorporated into it.

Very cool. I wanted to build a 16+ LX570, but I ended up getting a 16 LC instead. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I'd be very interested in a 16+ LC hidden winch option (not sure if the one you're working on now will work ok with the 16+).

I'll have Cole's '16 back at the end of the month for hidden and full bumper design.

I'm not sure on the timeline for the 570 bumper. He said he needs to decide if he will have the custom AHC delete suspension done before or after the bumper. I know there are several interested in the AHC delete for this rig. I have no connection, nor do I know where this is happening, other than a custom chassis shop in SoCal. He was very limited on those details. I think he or the shop may be trying to develop a full kit, etc. He did say a 3" with KING equipment though. So it'll be on the high upper end.

He is also not a MUD guy. Never even heard of it. :meh:

That’s interesting cuz when I spoke to King for a 3.0, they said they had no timeline to actually produce them for the Tundra or the LC in stock arm length. I ended up going with the Icon 3.0 as a result. That’s a bummer if they were sand bagging me. Hahaha.

KING production shocks vs. custom build shocks are two different monsters. They will custom make damn near anything if you have the money and time.

That general design would work for me, though with an 2009 LX570 it might not fit the same. I'm am interested in an Aluminum front bumper version, as far as I have been able to find there is only one Al production (TJM T15).

As an owner of a 200 and a 570, I have been eagerly waiting for a 570 bumper that is clean. Almost was ready to import something from the middle east...

Another option is a hidden winch mount behind the massive grill of the 16 and 17's. If you get your hands on one, you will see exactly what I mean.

I'm with you, as I've got a 13 LX and would love a custom aluminum bumper.

@reevesci your drawing has some similarities to this n-fab bumper. There are only a few images I can find on this bumper, but it's in classic pre-runner style and likely would be an ok match for the super V grille on the new LX.
RSP Pre-Runner Front Bumper | Bumpers - N-FAB | N-FAB. It's a bit lower on the fascia and no winch mount (edit - the winch pictured is aftermarket)

No offense... That bumper is a tube design and hideous to say the least. Mine are plate/sheet designs. The lines above are the bend profiles, not tubes.

it's not like I'm producing it . . . I'm looking under every nook and cranny for a bumper with some imagination behind it. Haven't found it yet. Hoping maybe @reevesci solution will be it.

nice. A lot like the viper, buy can match the lights on the lx better. No winch?

That grille looks so much better when it's cut down to a reasonable size.
