hello! good day to all! does anyone here has rear coil spring of lexus lx470 removed?
1. i need the diameter and the height of the spring.
2. is it interchangable with the landcruier 2000 model?
3. is there a lowering rear spring for landcruiser?

thank you for you help. ;)

If you are thinking about putting an LX spring in your LC, don't do it. The spring rate is lower. A lowered vehicle with a lower spring rate is a no no--they are designed to be used with AHC. They sell lowering springs in Japan. Or you can have one custom wound. PM LXTREME for help. He knows his Japanese Bling Parts.

hoser: thanks for you info. ok i will not do that.
calamaridog: what do you mean? cut the coil spring? how long?

You can cut a 1/2 coil at a time and probably no more than 1 coil. One full turn of the spring equals one coil. It's kinda a poor man's way to lower a vehicle but many people have been happy with the results. Just realize that when you cut the spring, the spring rate goes up so you'll want shocks with higher dampening. Otherwise you'll have an underdamped/oversprung set-up (read: headaches and dangerous handling).

The problem is that sometimes the spring rate doesn't rise fast enough for the amount of suspension drop and cars bottom out.

Also, there's no reversing the process so make sure you have a way to get new springs in case you hate the results. My experience is from cars... I don't know anybody with a lowered Cruiser.

Bling Bling!!

It's the ghetto way of lowering a vehicle and I was just kidding. Buy some lowering springs from Japan, don't be cheap with your suspension.
