LX470 Valve train noise

Clean LX470 came up for sale and I knew the price was too good to be true. Read description and saw why….valve train noise. What is best and worst case scenario? See description below



LEXUS LX 470, 4WD.
$11,500 OBO
Odometer Reading: 162,412 miles
VIN: JTJHT00WX13502462

…. Engine has valve train noise on left side of engine only. Does not have rod knock. Right side of engine is quiet. Drives well. Airconditioning functions well. Timing belt and Water Pump changed at 162,412 miles.

Hard to say without hearing it. It sounds more like exhaust manifold leak, spark plug by-pass leak, etc….if it’s only on one side. Can you post a video?

Going to look at it tomorrow and video it

Definitely sounds like possible exhaust manifold noise. Hard to believe that it would have valve train noise at that mileage.

wonder if the timing got off when doing the timing belt??

If you are still having this issue, it maybe the Kazoo noise. it's heard at high speeds especially with high cross wind. There's a leak in the weather stripping causing a noise. It's hard to diagnose since everyone thinks it's coming from tires or something.
