Wanted to share this pic of the LX470 loaded up for a track day today. The LX made this trip smoothly and in great comfort. It was nice heading out to the track day knowing that I had a guaranteed ride home no matter how hard I beat my other car on the track. :steer:

This combo weight was 2100lbs trailer + ~3400lbs car for a grand total of 5500 lbs. Cruising on the fwy was easy. I could hold 70mph up most any hill that I wanted to. The truck was never pushed or swayed by the rear load. Super stable. Can't imagine the max rating is 6500 when this load was so effortless.

Did you hold 70mph in 4th gear?

I dunno, I know when my Kawasaki Ultra 260X is back there and it's only a jetski.

FWIW be careful of Uhaul trailers. There are quite a few horror stories - on this board included.

I think a VVTI 2UZ-FE makes a big difference. I have been told this engine upgrade is better than a TRD supercharger...

What type of track event? Autocross? Road racing?

Road racing. This was at Auto Club speedway in Fontana with the Roval layout - front straight is a ~1 mile section of a banked oval. I was hitting 130mph before turn one. Pucker factor was awesome.

Did AHC re-level and ride well?

It did! But it did not like to go into high (only worked half the time) when I wanted to raise the trailer up to get a better ramp angle. I don't have a clue how much tongue weight there was. But the car did fine in normal height and leveled the truck without issue. And rode like a cloud on roads.

4th and 5th. Level grade had no issue with 5th. I was somewhat concerned prior with 32.4" tires but it was fine. There were some hills where I was toiling in 3rd, but still keeping 65 mph and able to accelerate if necessary.

I read some of the stories on here as well. But the trailer was actually really nice. Lots of nice touches - folding fender to open door. Hydraulic surge brakes. Nice tongue jack to help me get that better ramp angle and AHC into high :)
