Hey everyone, I've been dealing with an oil leak that is losing oil much faster after I had a shop replace the steering rack. The oil isn't dripping down onto the driveway, but the area around the lip of the oil pan is pretty dirty. I put some UV dye into the system to see if I could pinpoint the leak, but I can't tell where it's coming from. The area around the valve covers is grimey and has specks of the UV dye, but it doesn't appear wet. There is some dye around the timing cover area, but this is also dry.

The wettest areas are around the oil pan under the crank pulley and the rear driver's side. I also noticed that one of the pan bolts looks different than the others. I'm a novice when it comes to more advanced maintenance, so any advice is much appreciated.

The first pic looks like a front crank seal weep, not a leak, the picture of the oil pan bolt that is different, i think that's normal. toyota give you a stud with a nut on it to line up the oil pan for installation. I'll double check with my cruiser in a bit. However these leaks are not significant, top off the oil to max and then drive for 1000 miles and see where the oil level is at.

You can take a flexible mirror and look under your valve covers to make sure nothing is seeping downward. I would not worry about any of that.
