Swapping a body isn't that bad except for the wiring, if they guy is quoting you $250/day and can indeed do it in that timeline I say go for it. It's your truck

WOW!!!!!! Do want!!!! Bet that wasn't cheap body work wise and sadly we cant get the cool trays like that here. Has to been in Aus.

The double cab idea isn't a bad one. It's just a flat sheet of metal with some bracing welded in with a pickup rear window. That will cut off your major dents. Then you can use the doors and front clip from the LX to get the rest of it straight. Then all you need is to fab up a flatbed. Easy peasy.
