Ok, so i'm looking at getting some new trail tires and wheels. i have the stock lx450 rims with road tires now. no lift. now i want the biggest i can get in there with stock height.

i'm going to get some 33x13 r16 super swamper tsl's. i want to mount them on a 16x10 rim.
now the question is... i know the stock lx450 in '97 are 16x8, and i think the backspacing is 4.5? i want the new tires to come out of the wheel well more aggressively, but i don't want it to look like a dune buggy if you know what i mean. if i get 16x10's with the same 4.5 bs, do you guy think that will be too much? does anyone run this big of a tire/wheel setup with close to stock ride height?

also, is the bolt pattern 6x5.5?

also, do i have to go with 16" wheels? i heard that 15's won't fit the lx450 brakes. true?

Be careful about running a wide rim like that, the beauty of the 80 is the ability to suck up to a 305 (12") Tire up under the fenders under flex, if you push the tire out, you will rub. I'm told the 305 is the largest you can fit stock, have not heard about a 13" wide. it would probably work with an 8" rim. I run 305s on a 7" and it is lovely.
