Hey guys, I have a lx450 1997 and engine light just came on.

How do you go about scanning the code?
I know autopart stores have obd2 that can help me scan but I need an adapter.

Do you guys have any recommendation on which adapter that you had experience with and trust to work?

Get your own scanner even if it is a cheap 10 dollar bluetooth that connects to your phone. Saves you trips to get someone to read it who may be doesn't know they are just reading the codes from a previous vehicle.... not say all part stores are that untrained...............

Sounds like you're trying to read codes off the diagnostic port under the hood. You want the one at the dash fuse box

I like my UltraGauge for the size and options. Under $100.

I mounted mine above the radio.
