Long story made short. Some internal debris jammed up the Hvac blower fan. The fan was left on while not spinning.
After clearing the debris out of the squirrel cage, the fan would only blow when on ‘High’. All other speeds were dead. After searching, found this post which gave the best lx450 air conditioning guide related to my problem. Fan Blower Motor - Resistor ??? - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/fan-blower-motor-resistor.38698/

I started with cheaper and availability parts for the fix. Removed and tested the ‘Blower Resistor’ and tested the resistance per the FSM. The resistor tested way out of spec and a new part was ordered. $34 at rockauto made by NKG and was a direct fit. Part # WVE 3A1234

Blower Resistor replacement was a partial fix. Now had fan speeds of ‘high’ and all the rest L, medL, med H would only blow at low speed.

Next suspect is the A/C power transistor. Part easily removed from behind glove box, Denso 077800-0111. Could not find the exact match, -0111 part from any source. An eBay search found Denso 077800-0072 from ‘92 LS400. The -0072 has a different wiring harness, having 4 wires and 2 plugs. The -0111 LX450 part has 3 wires and one plug. Cut the pigtails off each and swapped with butt connectors. White-white, black-black, and red-yellow. Taped off the 4th (green)wire not connected to anything.

Plugged it in, tested, screwed it back in place, put glove box back in and have enjoyed having access to 4 fan speeds again.

Could all be done in an hour and less than $60 in parts. Hardest part was removing/install the blower resistor. No room for a screwdriver in there. I used pliers to slowly remove the screws, and replaced with hex head screws to allow for a wrench to fit in and tighten down.

Installed both today and followed your guide on the alternative part Denso 077800-0072. Everything is working as it should. Thanks!

For those of you a little more adventurous. I do see the that you can purchase the transistor inside the heat sink Toshiba 2SD1460. Looks like you would need to get your solder iron out.

I attempted this repair and ordered this toshiba transistor and attempted to replace it, but I think the old one was ok, there is a thermal fuse underneath that was open circuit, i bypassed it and tested it and i got my 2 medium speeds. Once I remove and source this thermal fuse ill post it.

On a separate note I lost my low speed, took out the blower resistor and found a tab broke off, soldered it back on and got low speed again.

I removed the thermal fuse it is a Panasonic EYP-2BN109 which of course is obsolete.
I found some Panasonic EYP-2BN110's on Ebay for cheap, it looks pretty much the same its rated at 115°C instead of 114°C, fingers crossed.
