Hello,
I was planning on keeping my lx450 for a long time but I came across the opportunity to get a diesel 80 series so the Lexus needs to go.
97' Lx
147k
4" ironman lift
Arb front bumper
Factory lockers
I have the center locker switch but never installed it
Previous owner did the new fan clutch and PHH
He also rebuilt the front axle
New water pump
Just did a new head gasket
I removed the factory rack and had a body shop fill the holes
Yakima rail system on roof
Has a touchscreen stereo

The front seats are starting to tear

If I was going to keep it I would have the front seats redone, and put some sliders and a rear bumper on it and it would be ready to go!

I'm putting it up for $15k, It should be in pretty great shape for the next owner.

I'm on the central coast of Oregon.

Sorry I don't have the original wheels. The previous owner said it was a mall cruiser when he bought it with like 20" wheels or something so he put the black ones on.
I just put a new radiator in the truck too. Forgot to mention that in the ad.

Bump time! Trucks running great after new radiator and headgasket!

$12000, I have a big building project I'm working on and need to sell the lx450 and buy some cedar siding!

New price, $11,000. I've gotten a bunch of offers for $10,000 and have passed.

DO you guys think this is priced to high? I've been surprised I haven't sold the truck yet. I jumped on it last year when I bought it for 13.5k, and that was before I did a bunch of preventative work, head gasket, etc...

Disclaimer:

I'm a relative new comer to 80's but I looked at a lot of them before I grabbed mine.

And since you asked, I think a starting price of 11k is pretty good for an 80 like that. I'm not sure you'll get that, but its a good starting point.

A few people have contacted me and said 11k is reasonable. I guess I'll wait and see. It prob also doesn't help I live in a somewhat remote area that's a few hours from major cities. There's a pretty big off road scene here for sand dunes, but it's mostly a jeep and ohv crowd.
If someone lives in a cool place in the west there's always a chance I can drive and deliver the truck and fly home.

Asking 2x book for a 20 year old truck is a tough pill to swallow, but someone will buy it and love it I'm sure.
