Hi guys,

After wading through 8 pages of search results, I'd figure I'd just ask here. I'm thinking about upgrading the 100 to a 200 series, be it the LC or LX.

I know the LC has a stock clearance of ~8.9in. I haven't been able to find any info on the clearance range for the LX.

Plans will be the same for the new rig, mild "overland" and trail use. It'd be nice to join the 2HIH trip this or next year. Otherwise she'll be primarily a DD. I'm aware aftermarket support for the LC is light years ahead of the LX. I've only found a few photos of someone who equipped an ARB bumper to his LX.

Looks like options for modification will be limited for the LX, at least for a while.

Let's put this a different way:

Can anyone confirm that the normal ride height is 8.9" and that high mode is +2in and low mode is -2in?

Yes, the LC200 will lift by up to 2.5" depending on settings and conditions. High takes it to 2", if it senses you're bogged and you're on 4LO it takes it up around one more inch. Total travel from LO to 'upper' High is 10cm.

This was from another AHC thread. LC equipped with AHC which is the same as the LX system.

Additionally, I remember another thread about AHC, that I can't find, with all the exact height measurements.

Basically, rear pumpkin is 8.9" clearance on LC. I would presume it is same for LX regardless of the height settings. Suspension lift only changes the elevation of the cab and pumpkin still is same elevation unless you add large tires. Larger tire will increase the ground clearance of the pumpkin.

Good Point, that's a bit of a fixed item.

The AHC doesnt affect the ground clearance, it changes the approach angles though.

You could put a 10" lift on a truck and if you kept the same tires, you still have the same ground clearance.
