2016 LC needed pads and rotor turned at 45K for front. I did not own it for first 14.4K. The rear rotors need a turn at 47k pads were ok. This is by far the worst mileage of any vehicle I have ever owned for brake work by more than double the mileage. However as I did not own the LC in first 14.4K miles I am chalking it up to lease owner. I did full check of mine after all work and had wife help me with full bleed and new fluid (i have power bleeder because of Motorcycle maintenace). Dealer wanted to much for that work. I did rear turn and dealer did front turn and pads I want to say around $350. Good Luck

If you brought the Lexus pads and rotors why shouldn’t any place that is a dedicated brake shop like some of these big franchises be able to do the job a lot cheaper. And do a good job since that’s all they do

Doesn't crawl control use braking?

Yes, but at such slow speeds I wouldn’t anticipate any real wear from its use.

So folks just live with it eh?

If you are going through pads but the rotors still have plenty of meat left on them consider changing to a more aggressive pad compound, though it will likely dust more.

Lots of people like TRD or EBC green. There may even be some better than OE ceramic options that would dust less than metallics but still perform well. I’m not as experienced with those on the cruiser, though I absolutely love the akebono ceramics on my W211

EBC greens on an LX. I would LoL if I ever saw it in person.

"Look folks, we got a real AutoX champ here, it should be in the same class as the S2000 now"

Their “truck” brakes are a different compound intended for towing or heavy use, vs track days, as should be the case for a quality brake supplier making parts for a 6000lb SUV.

Besides if that pushes your buttons wait til the people running yellows pipe up.

Heh, you know what I mean.

The ironic part is that I was actually watching Top Gear S21E1 when I read your post about the EBC greens. It is the episode where James May had the 80s Escort XR3i and commented that he knew the previous owner was interested in safety, not speed, when he pointed out the car had EBC Greens.

Sure if you know they'll do good work. We have a local shop that does good work, but brakes are essentially unbolt and bolt on parts with a bit of cleaning and lubing involved. Since my labor is just time, I'd just knock it out myself instead of paying labor somewhere else. Plus that way I can do the bed in the new pads properly and get on with life knowing it was done well.

Of course, this assumes you have the tools, a buddy to double check you and get beers, or just don't want to pay someone else using your time for something else.

Those days are in the past live in a condo parking garage can’t do any work on your car in the parking garage which is fine life goes on thanks for the response

So i have a 2015 lx570 with 51k on the clock. Dealer says rear axle needs rotors and pads. Does not re commend cutting rotors. What would a fair price be?
Does anyone have part numbers?

I can't speak to pricing but I can look up numbers. Technically these are off a 2015 landcruiser but everything is the same, and should save money vs buying at the lexus parts counter.

Rear rotors: 42431-60290
Rear pads: 04466-60160

If you live where rust is an issue you might need shims and fitting kits
Shims: 04946-60120
Fit kit: 04948-60040

Per the book the parking brake shoes wear in to the rotor and need to be replaced with them. Many of us elect to leave those as is and bed the old shoes into the new rotors
4 of these: 46530-34010

There are a ton of other small parts.. springs, clips, wear adjusters, cams, etc. Most are usually reusable but if you need any of that stuff I can look it up individually. Not worth posting everything here. But if you do need anything else specific, let me know.

Thank you
Are the fronts rotors 4351260180. Front pads 0446560280
Yes that's what I'm seeing in my system.

Edit for anyone else reading: these rotor part numbers are only good through 2015 model year. 2016+ got larger front rotors that are 43512-60210 The pad set part number didn't change.

i ordered rotors last Friday from Toyota Parts and Accessories Online - DeLuca Toyota in Ocala, FL. Use coupon code FREESHIP. Received 30 percent off list price and free shipping is fantastic since rotors are a heavy item. I should receive my order today via ups.

Also, I noticed that you have a LX. I also ordered five quarts of AHC Suspension Fluid. Each bottle $14.89 and free shipping.

Part number (08886-81221).
