I have owned a LX470 for 10 years. I am thinking of a new LX570. What type of issues have people had? My biggest issue with the 470 was the AHC. Does the 570 have an updated AHC?

No common issues reported, initial reliability from software to hardware has been excellent with the LX570 and there are quite a few on the roads. You'll likley be very pleased with one but if off-roading like I do I'd replace the stock 20s with 17s (from TRD) or 18s (from the LC).

AHC is improved year on year (owners will likely be able to offer more detailed info) but if really worries you then get a TLC which is KDSS and no AHC. It was the right choice for me as I wanted an understated badge and no AHC but that is not to all people's tastes.

Replace the stock tires or drive carefully off-road. I took out a sidewall on my LX570 on a maintained forest service road.

Me dealer service experience has been a major disappointment. Rediculously over priced, complete rip-off, and comically incompetent. I've had problems with them replacing the battery in the key fob. So don't choose Lexus over the Toyota for that reason. Fortunately the LX570 is the one of the few cars I've ever owned that has had 0 warranty related issues in the first year. All the recalls have been floormat related for my '10 so far.

On the plus side the interior is great. Ride quality with the AHC borders on amazing for a large SUV with the off-road capabilities the LX570 has. Only have 10K miles so I don't about its reliability. But it does work as advertised. Offroad one gets significantly more clearance, on road, handling is good, and the the self leveling works when fully loaded with gear.

Other than the dealer service, the only other annoyance I've experienced is that when the "free" subscriptions to the satalite radio and security thing (Lexus's equivalent of On-Star) expire, they want you sign up for 100's of dollars of new annual subcriptions to the services. When you don't, they pester you through the mail and phone. I finally had to yell at their telemarketer to get get them to stop calling.

Only problem I've had is related to a deer jumping in front of me on the highway. Car shook it off and got me home safe, and I haven't had a problem since getting that mess fixed up. I second rhllc's dealership experience though.
