I contacted the seller and he sent a lot of photos; from 30 feet it looks good, but the close-ups showed what appear to be a poor prep work before the paint job. There were areas with rust bubbles coming up through the paint in the usual places, painted over rubber bits, bolts, hinges, same for the interior were they painted right over the old cracked paint with no prep. The frame and floor panels also are fairly rusty, it was not a frame off restoration, just a quicky paint job IMO. A very strange thing also, it has a 427 GM engine and auto tranny but the flexplate and the torque convertor are visible on the undercarriage photos, like no bell housing, how is that possible? Hope this doesn't sound like bashing, just passing on what I saw in the photos.

can you post up the extra pics?

The photos he sent me were very large files, I'll try to downsize them but may be a few days until I get to it.

Missing inspection cover....no big deal.

I just don't see a $20K truck here. Yeah, it's rare, but it is far from stock and has what looks to be rust bubbling thru bad bondo and bad paint. If it were a 40, it would be a $3K-$5K truck. Add a few thousand maybe because it's an LV.

My .$02. Judge for yourself...

Ouch. that's a lot less original inside than I guessed. The 427 is also a very odd choice. Would be a good truck for someone who wanted to do a full resto though

Sure, everyone uses a $20K core truck for a resto.
