Had my wheels rotated last Friday. In the process one of my lug nuts actually sheared at the flange...yes...Bam Bam Rubble on the air gun.... I stole one from my own spare tire rack, but obviously need a replacment. What are they 14mm? Any idea of where to find them?

Went to a local Japanese Import Salvage yard and asked if they have a bucket of old lug nuts to look through...you'd think a reasonable request?...not so...Scruffy McGrease behind the counter looked at me like I was retarded and says nobody keeps lug nuts...

I didn't ask why...they have maybe 5 thousand wheels stacked in rows in the yard, that's 25-30000 lug nuts in high grade recyclable steel...who's the retard? :flipoff2:

i would tell yah but i don't know. when i need one i just walk over to the drawer and grab one...
;^)

moose go to any tire store and they can supply them. I know the 4x4 shop on the south side of Duncan has them as well. They are cheap new thats why none of the wreckers keep them.

Dang Moose, I busted a stud last weekend too... and Lordco had a replacement stud and nut for me. Of course that was for my 61... don't know'bout the 7X, but worth a shot.

Awesome, I know the place...off for a drive in the rain.

You can find stud in NAPA ... I don't remenber but the are almost cheap... 3 or 5 $

for the nut... any toyota nut can fit... anyway... my corolla nut can fit

Important do not buy from Toyota, I bought 3 because I didn't know where to go. 11.50 each. ouch. but after I found out the tire shops sell them for about 3 bucks each.
Now the fun part starts to change the busted one. You have to pull the hub for that one. If it s a front one. rear I don't know. Never done one.

Then use a good punch and driver out. with of course a 3lb hammer.

But its not worth paying someone to do that job. Good time to do your wheel bearing for a regrease and possibly your birfs for a repack. Time to get dirty. Gotta luv it!

Re-reading back. I thought you meant a stud. Did you mean a nut? sorry,. I just read sheared off and immediately thought of the stud sheared at the flange of the rotor.
