I envy you guys in the USA. I've been looking for LC100 rims in Europe, but was not able to locate a set (or at least one!) - alloy or steel. It seems as the only option is to buy a new one at Toyota dealer :(. If anybody from Europe knows where to get them cheap - please let me know.
Samo

I just bought a set of OEM steel rims for Euro 100 in the Netherlands with lug nuts. Lots of them overthere if you don't mind the shipping. I bought mine at http://www.marktplaats.nl. Type in 'Landcruiser' in the search button.

he has em stashed in a shed someplace, think he wanted $100 each for them, if he still has them.

Shiping should run about $100(just in general)

Pimp, I called Christo and he was not there and will not return until after the 1st.
The guy’s in the shop couldn’t help.

Macneill My thought is, after the paint is torn all up, I’ll go with the black powder coat. (We do that at my work.;) ) I would rather start with the color I want first, then go to the black PC later.

Dave, thanks for the info on the center caps! I’m not sure if the black streaks will buff off, the manager didn’t think so. But what does he know! Perhaps some good clear coat safe cleaner/polish would do the trick. I’ll see what he brings in the next few days.
Tuesday I’ll call C-Dan and order some lug nuts. :bounce:
My new 285/75-16 are gonna look good on these rims!

Black rims look awesome with a silver truck.
How much does it cost to p-coat them?

Anybody here good with Photoshop that can make the wheels match the gray trim on the pic below? I would love to see what it would look like before I actually do it.
Greg, I have limited photoshop skills but here you go.

I don't remember the exact cost, but it was around $75 or so.

(Answered both questions for ya) ;)

BTW, on the way to work, I picked up a set of 4 - 16" alloy wheels, caps, and lug nuts for $60. They came off a 99' when the owner went to 22"

¡ $60! I haven't found anytihing better than around $300 here (including freight).

I'm afraid those 22" rims won't see any rock or mud from less than one mile away.

Well, in all fairness, the guy is an former Marine and Merc. He has done bodyguard work for some rich Arab dudes and says he's driven Land Cruisers all over the world.

When I told him I've been wheeling mine he seemed a bit jealous. I got out of there before he changed his mind!

Mac,

Did they powdercoat the lugs too or are you using the crome ones? Do you have a close up picture?

I'm using the same ones. I'll try and get a pix this weekend when I get the truck out of the parking garage.

If it's not too much trouble.

CDog, sorry for the delay. As much as I hate to admit, I rarely drive the truck. I take the subway for most of my travel. :) However, we did make it to Costco yesterday to stock up on TP.

Anyhow, a couple of close ups.

I rattle canned the center caps. They were Lexi bling at one time.

THANKS!

I'm definitely going to powdercoat the extra wheels and switch the tires over when I rotate tires next time. I've seen "plastic paint" in the rattle can. I think I'll try that for the caps.

The lug nuts look fine too without being black.

I love the subway. We walked and took the subway everywhere when we visited Manhattan. Very cool:) Very practical too.
