Looks like I may have a valve cover leak. Read on here that the bolts can come loose after a while. Gave em a quarter turn to see if that stops the leak. Any info would be appreciated.

I had that going on. I had planned to replace my valve cover gaskets when I replaced my starter, but it turned out tightening them up has done the job.

Thanks for the info. Did you tighten them to a specific torque or just until they were snug?

@TurboTaco .... did you plasdip the lower door panels? I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my white LX. Also, I notice you "tinted" the windshield. Did that make a difference in terms of lowering heat i.e. UV reflectivity?

It makes a big difference with the tint. I went 3M tint and it stays much cooler in the Texas sun. Saves your dashboard from unwanted beatings, too.

As far as the plasti dip, yeah it's all plastidip and it's been nearly two years since it's application. I layered it thick and it has gone through rivers and creeks,
Lakes, rain, harsh sun and has required no maintenance. Super easy to apply, too. You really don't even need to tape anything off of you don't want to.

Tell me abaout your tint,

I'm hesitant due to non bronze stuff on the front and what it looks like adding it to the rear,

Yours looks good man.

Thanks for the compliment.
I went with 3M acrylic tint on the windshield and all around. I was worried about 'purplish' fading, so I sprung for the best I could find. A worthwhile investment in my opinion.

@TurboTaco ... forgot to ask...how do you like that snorkel? Any fading or quality issues? After my Gamiviti rack is installed later this month, the snorkel is next on my list and I'm looking at this same type.

Quality seems to be there. The template leaves a bit to be desired . Just make sure your measurements for the studs are true. Yet to test but will very soon. Fitment seems right on though.

So, I've been in the midst of moving and changing jobs, but I was able to install a TigerShark Superwinch on the Cruiser today. Let me start off by telling you that this task was not as simple as it first appeared. Considering my ARB front sans winch was on the vehicle when I bought it; I had to drop the front bumper to install. For this task I purchased a large, wide jack to lower it and bolt it on. I'd say it was about a three hour install.

I really like how you painted the center piece grey/silver. Thought about doing that myself. Great looking rig!

A quick shout out to Crossbar Ranch in Davis, OK. Went to check it out today. Neat place. Here's some pics and thanks to Josh in the office. Welcome << Link

Grill looks great. Where did you get the Toyota logo? My valve covers were leaking as well. Check how tight all of your bolts are. They do not require much torque (something around 15 ft.lbs) My gaskets were in great shape, just turned out that all of my bolts were finger tight. Id also clean up the oil residue after tightening so you can see if it continues to leak.
