Not mine but cannot believe no one has jumped on this in Lubbock, TX. I reached out to talk to the guy about potentially buying some of his gear and was asking if he had any idea why it hadnt sold yet. He is blown away because it’s super clean. I mean it’s a 21 year old truck so I’m sure it’s not perfect. He said everyone that’s contacted him has been out of state and not one person has seen it yet in person. I would be all over this if I hadn’t just bought an 07 LC a few weeks ago. He’s lowered the price to $16k (I’m sure all the extras are at least $8-10k). Find this guy on Facebook or reach out to me and I’ll give you his number (I have his permission).

Didn't this same truck just sell a couple months ago?

I was bummed I missed out on that the first time, and I just bought one so no longer in the market. Good deal if it's legit.

Yep, looks to be the same truck. I’ve talked to the guy a few times. Just seems like he and his wife have different life plans so selling it.

Dang! I would love to bring that home to Utah if I was ready to buy. Probably won't be ready/able until summer unfortunately.

Did this seller post any undercarriage pics on his Facebook? Or are you able to look at it in person?

There weren’t any on Facebook. I’ll see if he can send some. Or shoot you his number so you can touch base. Whatever you prefer

All four shocks need to be replaced, the exhaust failed the pre purchase inspection because the flex pipe is basically rotted out/rusted out but you may be able to get it patched. The previous owner before this said check the upper rear tailgate hatch mounts to the body because its cancerous. The current owner has done pads/rotors but it's due for oil, transmission, and transfer case fluid flush/change. Ultimately, it's a really good deal for someone who is okay with the rust but you're also going to need to spend between 1-3k right off the bat.

That price is also a fair bit higher than what I sold it to him for. Granted he paid to have it shipped from UT to TX but that doesn’t increase the value of the vehicle.

I spoke with him Monday and Tuesday about it with legitimate interest, when I asked him about any rust he said there was none. I then asked specifically about the hatch area and the wheel wells and he again said there is none. If you look closely enough at his own pictures on his Facebook ad you can see it along the hatch mount area and wheel well. When confronted with that he said he’d never noticed it before, just hadn’t looked very closely around there. Definitely a lot of nice stuff on it, but in this case the seller turned me off to it more than the vehicle did.

I believe I saw it on a facebook group for 17k.
Yep. He lowered one of his posts to $16k. He actually has a green one too. Was talking to him today (still trying to snag some of the gear 😜) but he said he’s trying to get them sold so he can buy a bus that he’s converting to live out of. He’s considering selling them as a package deal for like $25k or individually at $15k

Good feedback. My interactions with him haven’t been about the vehicle as I was primarily interested in all the extra stuff he has on it. Certainly worth the due diligence and making a decision that is comfortable for you!

First I never said there was no rust on the vehicle haha. I said there was surface rust. When asked about the hatch I did say no because I generally had never seen it so sorry about that.

Just trying to get out what I got into it.

Got from you for $14,500, 1,000 for shipping, $500 in brakes, rotors, fluids, fixing lights

Toyota did say shocks needed to be replaced in future but were still good and didn’t have to be done anytime soon, and rep also told me if they aren’t 100% they put it on there in hope to sell you and up charge you.
You could just be a little upset because I wouldn’t take your offer of $11k 🤷🏼‍♂️

You get more flies with honey...

Unless someone had shipped a truck across the country to my zip code I wouldn't credit that towards the value of the vehicle. I don't think you're going to win anyone here over with this line of reasoning. Maybe accept the fact you got a sweet deal on a nicely built rig, got to enjoy it on a nice long trip, and then pass it along to someone else without trying to cover your shipping costs. GLWS

Was never trying to win anyone over here haha, I was trying to get my money but that I don’t care about anymore hence the fact I lowered to $15k
