Anyone have any experience with this?----->EFI Connection

Appears to allow all the LS1 fuel injection pieces (coil on plug, sensors, etc) to be used on a small block chevy of any vintage. OBDII compliant- meaning realtime tuning with a laptop via EFILive. Could take control of an electronically controlled transmission (4L60,etc) if you wanted to. Seems like it would be basically like an LS1 swap, using the engine I already own.

It seems to me, that for the money they get for that, you could buy a good running 6L truck motor, save 80-100lbs, and likely make more power. (Granted, you might lose a little low end, but it doesn't sound like you're running any kind of EFI at the moment., so you'd probably gain across the board)

Oh, and you'll use less fuel - the Gen III/IV engines are VERY efficient.

Agreed. I picked up my 2006 6.0 for $600 local and it has 58k miles on it. And of course 5.3s make great power too and are are a dime a dozen, relatively speaking. Unless you're obsessive about shedding weight, the truck motors are the best bang for the buck compared to what the LS1s, 2's, etc. go for.

But I'm yet to fire mine so all bets on whether I scored a deal are off
