Vehicle: Land cruiser 200 with a front leveling kit

What is the lowest offset wheels we can use
that will not cause any rubbing (on the fenders front and rear under suspension compression and also inner wheel lining)

I already tucked in the front inner wheel lining
currently no rubbing on 32.8” 305 wide tires

But I want a wider stance

Thanks

+50 on 285/70r17 KO2s. That’s was the largest tire Toyota put on the truck

Lower offset or wider or taller tires (including your 305 width) will start to require work to fit without rubbing. Removing mudflaps, using a heat gun on your fender liner, and more. Amount of caster in your alignment also matters. For 33s most of it will be minor but expect to spend a little time on it

You will have a hard time fitting with absolutely no rubbing even on close to stock offset I suspect. Those tires are very wide.

You gotta pay to play. If you want a bigger tire with lower offset then you need to trim or least bend some plastics

Im running 305 32.8” Terra G2 tires
+25 offset

Currently no rubbing as the inner wheel well already pushed back

But Id like to widen the stance little bit more to have a wider look
Similar to this photo I saw online, I think it looks really good

Im planning to add 25mm spacers
Or buy wheels that have lower offset

(Besides scrub radius) Would that be a good idea?

and under suspension articulation, will the tires hit the fenders?

It’s a bad idea for any reason except looks

Lower offset means a wider arc which means more fender liner contact. More risk of hitting a fender on full compression. Worse scrub radius and thus more toe in and out on hard acceleration and braking. More torque steer.

It'll also wipe out the fender unless you aggressively limit uptravel. It'll make the rig tiring the drive, lose corning traction, and have more wear and tear of the steering rack which might cause a premature replacement.

Im wondering How other trucks can run such low (negative offsets) if there are alot of disadvantages in performance

Off road tundras, raptors etc.. have wheels that go well beyond the fenders

Do they all drive poorly Or are other trucks specifically designed to be compatible with low negative offset wheels?

You also see a ton of giant suspension spacer/block lifts, giant body lifts, bracket lifts.

Urban Bro trucks for the gram.

Don't get me wrong, there are reasons to run more aggressive offsets for things like hardcore rock crawling. That require a more specific type of build employing long travel arms. Even then, there will be trades and compromises for daily use. Aerodynamics and MPG take a big hit with aggressive poked tires.

sad to see our Lc posuer brothers fall victim to the same

how the demo has changed 😢
We called it FPFQ on the GTO forum back when I had my 2006 Pontiac GTO. Falling prices, falling quality of members 😂

Granted I’m one of the poors who bought my LX used. And I was one of the poors who bought my GTO used back then too.

Like others have said there are many reasons not to do this. I’ll add another, off road you will destroy your paint. I have +35 rims and have broken 2 of my own windshields throwing a rock from my front tires….

And to answer your question, they all drive crappy, wear parts prematurely, and make things worse off road…. Just like those that run 22’s with MT tires.

I saw this truck last time I was in Hawaii. Sent the picture to my brother that lives in FL. He is pushing 50, makes well into the 6 figure range, and still drives a f250 platinum with a 6” lift, blacked out, straight pipes, massive poked out tires, 24” rims with 34’s, MT tires.. probably a set of truck nuts. That drives like crap.
