So, I have all the replacement hoses a and metal pipes.
The question I pose is, how much oil will come out when I remove the hose that enters directly into the front of the cooler?

Thanks all.

No oil, but plenty of coolant will pour out if the block hasn't been drained of coolant. That's a coolant hose. Oil is migrating down it from higher up.

yep..

Like they said..... none of you empty the block and radiator. I had mine off when I did the top end.

Ok then, maybe I should drain the coolant then has been years unless the mechanic who rebuit the top end didn't do it.

Most was drained when the top end was done. If it has been a while since then, crack the petcock from the back driver side of block to empty it all.

While you're doing that hose, you might as well replace all the hoses to make the work worthwhile if they are old.

Should also address oil leak, hard to ID it, but it appears to be from the oil pressure sender. Clean that whole area up and see where oil trickles out.

When i open the peacock which will come out, oil or coolant?

OH and the top end was done 3300 Mile's ago .

It should be coolant...If you got oil. Than headgasket blew....doubt that.

Probably o ring/gasket for the sending unit.

Petcock is on DS of block towards rear of engine.
