I've thought about bringing the Scout but it looks like that side of the lake is smaller, can you get under the bridge to the other side? Still don't have a 5 way wiring harness installed on the FJ but could do that this week, I've heard about a lot of stumps in the water though anyone boated out there?....thoughts? Worth bringing up there?

Never been on the lake but if it's nice id be happy to bring it up if there is enough interest. The campsite is right around the corner from the landing isn't it?

Don't bring it. Water is down about five feet from normal. Coworker told me he bounced off stumps all last weekend in that area where y'all are camping. Also hit a piece of rebar sticking out of a stump and gashed the side of his boat bad enough to have to take it to a glass guy. If you were talking about an aluminum boat or you were more familiar with the area, I'd say maybe.

You can definitely get under the I-95 bridge to go to the other part of the lake. You have at least 50+ ft of clearance.

You'll probably not be using the State Park's boat ramp right now... :D I'm pretty sure the water has dropped a bit since this google map was updated a month or so ago.

EDIT: The more I look at it, I think that's the floating grass crap that popped up a while back, and not dry ground. I think that stuff is gone from that area now, and the ramp probably will be usable.

I'm out this weekend bc of the weather. Like David said, camping in the rain isn't too bad but the kids won't have any fun. :( I hope I caught you in time, but if not, I'll be happy to pay for my portion of food, etc.

What does next weekend look like for everyone?
I talked with the scouts and I can take next weekend if we can do it then.

Impromptu HAMOM at your shop while we watch college football?
Jeremy, you have a lot of good ideas. I don't blame you for wanting to be home by 7:00 so that when Florida is destroyed, no one else is around.

David, next weekend is fine for me.

I actually won't be crying myself to sleep with a loss to Ole Miss... They're good this year. The Gators pulled out a miracle against Tennessee - if they make a bowl game they will have exceeded my expectations for the season. We have a good shot, just have to win 2 more. Now, if The Gators beat Ole Miss, man... I will be embarrassed for the whole SEC. But I still have a beer with your name on it.

I can probably do next weekend. I was supposed to head to Trollhole's to pick up the 40, but I will see if we can do that this weekend instead.

Next weekend is good.

We are planning to be in Columia next Saturday - LSU vs USC - but might be able to meet after the game... Dont plan / cancel if so just because of me. Our plans could change either way.

A HAMOM at my office on Saturday is not out of the question, but it's hard to watch + :popcorn:and wrench :wrench:....:grinpimp: I was even thinking of trying to bring the -40 home (to the house), and dropping the top back onto her - so long as I get some dry time between now and then to drive home.

You would do better to take the top into the shop.
Looks like rain until Sun Morn.

Except my roof is hoisted to the ceiling of my garage..... Doesn't look like a good weekend to be driving anywhere topless.

so..... is anyone there?

no, I don't think so.
i'll call them tomorrow and get our site for next weekend.

IndianDoc is coming also. Talked to him earlier in the week, and again this morning.

I reserved the same site for next weekend, she didn't charge anything extra, just said ok, you're all set for next weekend.
