Recently, I've noticed a rattle sound almost like a heatshield rattle, or a bearing sound (especially when cold) starting abruptly at 1200RPM and ending abruptly at 1400RPM while driving. It only happens under load, and does not happen if in neutral reving to 1200-1400. If press brake and rev to 1200 - 1400 while in D it still happens. Once warm the sound is dramatically reduced but still slightly present sometimes with inconsistency.
The research I have done comes back with alot of differing opinions such as:
-Exhaust/converter heatshield rattle
-Torque Converter failing
-Stator output bearing failing
-Converter & Stator failing
-Transmission needs replacement
Recent Maintenance includes:
-Timing belt
-Thermostat & seal
-Hydraulic tensioner
-Idler pulley
-Tensioner pulley
-Serpentine belt
-Water pump
-New Radiator
The vehicle does not show any driving issues, no stumbling, no shifting issues, no slipping, and no check engine light present.
Any insight or direction to start would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
