Well have in mind guys that our cruisers use/consume oil, This means that ocassionally we have to check if the oil level it's where it shoud be. when the eng. oil light goes on, it's nothing more then you need to add some oil. It's on the manual, you might want to check that.

Picture this on your mine, if the engine itself need some oil and it's at level surface the light will not go on. Now have in mind that the oil level changes based on the type of terrain you are on and the oil itself inside tends to move. So if the oil level goes down below the sensor/signal it will trigger the light to turn on. light will stay on until the oil level comes down and triggers the signal again that there's enough oil to turn the light out.

This happens to us. we got 2 80's 93 mine & 94 hers same problem, and yes both of them needs oil occasionally. once I fill it up the light will not come on again until it needs oil again, and that takes a while.

the light it's just to tell you that eng. needs oil and that it's below level then it should be before the light goes on..

hopefully that helps

Yes, yes it does. You're saying that I should check my oil level, that it might be low, and that the type of terrain I was on might have caused the sensor to read a low oil level. Thanks for that. I'll get on it right away.
