That's nice country down there. You do know that those Roosevelt Elk kill and eat 5 or 10 tourist and countless small to medium sized dogs every year?

That RTT sure looks like it is THE DEAL for a road trip like that. Just popping it up crashing with out so much hassle has gotta be nice..

Great photography by-the-way

There is always next year Skillet! It is the best trail in California, and the fun lasts for 4 days. I've done it 3 times, and I'm already looking forward to next year. The real fun starts just after the campsites, and gets progressively harder all the way to Thompson Lake.

Some friends of mine are planning to do it in 2 days. Is that possible?

Very doable if the rigs are set up right.

If they show up on 33"s with no lockers they had better have a lot of camping gear and food and a darn good winch.

35's with lockers front and rear are still a challenge.

The bigger the tire makes it easier.

Sure, just not as fun. There is a lot to see and do on this trail, and fatigue is also a factor. I've done it in 3 and done it in 4, and 4 is way better.

If you guys decide to put a trip together, please put me on the list. I should have the 40 up and running by next season (hopefully) and would love to roll with you folks.

Yeah, what he said...."DUDE!"
I wanna go! Hope I have a 2F in the 40 by then. Still only have 33's tho. But I do have the lockers.

Sorry, I have keys to most USFS gates.

I do trail openings and train the USFS "C" fallers. We need keys. :D

Damn.............let me know if you ever need company and an additional rig :D
