I noticed a few days ago on my 85 BJ 70 that my stereo started sounding funny, followed by it shutting off and turning back on agaibn. Also my heater blower motor is not blowing very strong. The wipers have slowed too.....Alternator? weak batteries? HEEeellllppppp :crybaby:

Go to the Battery Exchange and have your batteries load tested...the guy usually just does it for free.

How are you powering your stereo right now? You're not tapping off of the low-side battery, are you? If you are, that could be the root of your problem.

Stone...1985 was the only year of 12V for the BJ70 in Canada...

Flex, good advice on both counts. The Battery Exchange is off Peardonville, west of Townline. If your brushes need replacing, go see Nathan at ASI Rebuilders in Abbotsford. His number is in the book, and he is right behind the Timmy Hoe at McCallum and the freeway. First time I took a brush assembly to him, to ensure I got the right brushes he took the few minutes and changed them out for me.

Oh, Right...I forgot about that. Sorry Flex...yeah, definitely get the battery load tested first. If your battery is the problem, I got a fairly good price for the Interstate Workaholics that I bought from him a year and a half ago. Under $100/ea., and I've been happy with them so far.

Hey Flex, are you still planning to sell it or did you decide against?

No I may still sell it...argh...I love the truck, and it runs so good, and is in great shape....however more room sure would be nice.
Thanx for the help guys!
