Looking to purchase a 22' 4000 lb Travel Trailer.
Found a spread sheet calculator for towing and it looks like the Lexus LX470 specs
will handle it. Anyone interested, here is the Spread Sheet calculator:

Its a Coachmen 192RBS:
Coachmen RV - Manufacturer of Travel Trailers - Fifth Wheels - Tent Campers - Motorhomes

I know I will have to tow with Over Drive OFF. My 2002 LX470 is 4-speed and at
50MPH it will be doing 2600rpms with OD off.

Think this is a good idea - or do you think I will have problems?
Anyone with experience?

I'm sure you realize that trailer will weigh far more than 4000 lbs going down the road. The 3852 empty weight is not realistic at all; add battery, propane, water, stuff, hitch, waste tanks, etc and you'll be pulling hundreds more, if not occasionally a 1000 more. Full water/waste tanks alone would weigh 800 lbs. The hitch weight would be a load for the LX, probably coming in close to 500 lbs when loaded (?). That would need a weight distribution hitch and/or airbags, adding to the weight. And, you'd have to be careful about total weight in the truck.

All that being said, it's probably ok to tow a 22 with the LX so long as you:
-Are aware of the weigh issues for the trailer, hitch, and LX
-Add airbags to the rear springs of the LX
-Use a weight distribution hitch
-Pack light and keep the tanks empty
-Go slow (50 mph is awfully slow for the Interstates, so maybe plan on back roads mostly?)
-Add a trailer brake controller and make sure the trailer brakes work well
-Maintain the heck out of the LX and get good LT tires.
