Howdy,
I am looking to buy within the next 3 to 4 weeks a FZJ80, 97 or 96, or even consider a 95. Toyota or Lexus. Without excessive mods. Lockers not a big deal either, as it will be for small town drive and an occasional drive to Big Bear.
Ideally under $6k and under 150k miles. I'm in SoCal and would travel to NorCal, AZ, NV, CO, for the right truck.
If you come across one, or know someone that has one in good shape, please let me know. It would be much appreciated.
Not concerned much about color, although black would be ideal, or dark green (as I would be painting it black), or white (love that color). So some damage to the paint could be fine. I do like leather tho.
Short story:
4 weeks ago a young driver made a left turn in front of me and totaled my 9 month old (brand new) VW jetta, this while doing about 30mph. I was quite upset and shocked that such small crash would write the car off. My wife told me to be thankful that it wasn't a freeway crash at 80mph, and that nothing happened to my kids, the other driver and myself. That's when it hit me and decided to finally get me the LC I've always wanted, ever since I was younger and seeing the old UN white LC's.
So I have decided to finally get the truck I always wanted and that could be my oldest son's first car in 4 years... Then outlive us all. My youngest boy says that he doesn't want another lego car.
Insurance Co. settlement should be here within a week and then the hunt begins!
I appreciate any help and feedback.

1997 CLEAN Toyota Land Cruiser with only 142k miles!
